Cleavers

When preparing Asian-style dishes or any meal at all, you need a great all-rounder to keep you company in the kitchen. Designed with a deep large blade with scalloped indentations, Cleaver knife allows you to chop through anything and ensures your food won’t stick to the blade. And with its wide blade, you can even use it to smash garlic or scoop ingredients to pan.
Benefits of a Cleaver is that it is perfect for chopping and slicing through meat and bone with ease. If you are always dealing with thicker meats, you definitely need a Cleaver as using a chefs knife only risk damage to the meat itself but also the Chef Knife.
Chinese Cleavers bears resemblance to a chef's knife or santoku. Great for those preparation tasks that involve slicing, dicing, chopping, and crushing vegetables. Chinese Cleavers will allow you to chop a cabbage or cut wafer-thin slices from a tomato in seconds but should not be used on bones or very hard fruits (such as coconuts); instead, we recommend a Wusthof Cleaver that makes the cutting of ribs, racks, bones and also extremely hard-skinned fruit - such as coconuts - easy. The large flat of the blade, together with its strength and rigidity, make for easier and fatigue-free prepping.
Cleavers knife are the ultimate tool for all tasks that place high demands on the sturdiness and power of the knife.
